Is there a way to create a Schedule Template that will allow shifts to stay assigned to the same employees as opposed to just generic shifts within the different Roles?

    Hi Justin,

Thanks so much for your question! Unfortunately there is not a way to do this with Schedule Templates, but you can do this with our copy-and-paste feature!

Select Edit > Copy Week to copy the entire week. To paste, switch to a future week and at the top where you see Copied to Clipboard, this will change to say Paste and Replace or Paste and Merge. To learn the difference between these options, please see the article What is the difference between 'Paste and Merge' and 'Paste and Replace'? Choose which option you would like and then confirm your choice.

To copy a day, follow these exact same steps exact make sure you have the Day view selected, instead of Week view.

You can go back to any week that you have scheduled and copy-and-paste it into a current or future week.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out with any further questions.

Is there a way to "split" a template shift? For example, say we have a template shift for "breader", 11am-7pm.  But due to people's availability we would like to split that among two people, 11a-3p and 3p-7p?

    Hi Justin,

Thanks so much for your question! Once you have applied a shift template, you can edit those shifts as much as you need. You can add, delete and edit shifts without any problems. You can even edit your current template until it matches what you want your schedule to look like. Simply create a schedule with the template, edit it as needed and Save as Existing Shift Template

Let me know if this works out for you!

    Hi Kendra,

I just started using jolt and i am trying to block out the unavailable times that employees cant work but i can only seem to block the whole day and not individual shits. Is there a way of doing this?

    Hello Nelson,

Thank you for reaching out to us! If you go to Scheduling > Availability and then to the Unavailable to Work tab. Choose +New. Once you have selected your employee and the day of the week you will want to drag the green switch by All Day so it is no longer green. Once you have switched this off a Time option will appear. Tap on this and type in the correct time. Input a reason for the request and hit Save

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else,
